Yes, we offer delivery across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire including St Albans, Hitchin, Harpenden, Stevenage, Watford and Bedford.

How many guests can your afternoon tea packages cater for?

Our packages typically cater for between 10 and 40 guests. Larger events can be arranged with custom packages depending on availability.

What happens if something gets broken?

Our vintage crockery is delicate and many pieces are one-of-a-kind. We simply ask that any breakages are reported so we can keep track of the set. In some cases a small replacement charge may apply.

Do customers need to wash the crockery before returning?

No washing is required. We simply ask that food is removed and items are returned safely packed in the crates provided.

How do I secure my booking?

A 25% deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due 28 days before your event date. If your event is within 28 days of booking, the full balance will be required.

Caring for Your Vintage Afternoon Tea Crockery

We want you to enjoy your celebration without worrying about cleaning up afterwards. That’s why complimentary washing up is included with every Tea-rific Party Hire order.

Our vintage china is delicate and many pieces are unique, so we prefer to take care of the cleaning ourselves to make sure everything is handled safely.

There is no need for you to wash any of the crockery or cutlery after your event. Simply follow the small guidelines below and we will take care of the rest.

Before Repacking Your Crockery

After your celebration, we simply ask that you help us by doing a quick clear of the items before packing them away.

Please:

• Remove any leftover food from plates and stands
• Empty any liquids from teapots, cups or milk jugs
• Lightly rinse items if possible (this is helpful but not required)
• Carefully place items back into the crates or boxes provided

This helps keep everything tidy and protects the crockery while it is transported back to us.

If you have booked our repacking service, you can simply leave everything out and we will take care of the packing for you.

Washing Up Is Included

All washing and cleaning of the crockery and cutlery is carried out by our team after collection.

Because our items are vintage and often delicate, we use gentle hand washing methods to ensure every piece is properly cared for and preserved.

This means you can relax and enjoy your event without worrying about washing dishes afterwards.

Important Handling Guidelines

Our vintage crockery has been carefully collected and selected to create beautiful afternoon tea settings. Some pieces are older and more delicate than modern tableware, so we ask that they are handled with care.

Please avoid stacking items too heavily and take care when moving cake stands, teapots and serving plates.

We understand that accidents can occasionally happen during busy events, and if anything does become damaged we simply ask that you let us know so we can keep track of the set.

Dishwasher Use

Our vintage china and cutlery are not dishwasher safe.

Dishwashers use high temperatures and strong detergents which can damage delicate china patterns, gold edging and vintage finishes.

For this reason, please do not place any of our items in a dishwasher.

Microwave Use

Our vintage crockery is not suitable for microwave use.

Many pieces contain metallic trims or delicate finishes that can be damaged by microwave heat.

Please ensure that none of the china or serving pieces are placed in a microwave.

Packing the Crockery After Your Event

When repacking your items, please place them back into the boxes or crates provided.

Each crate is designed to protect the crockery during transport, helping ensure everything returns safely.
